Summary: We are currently looking for an experienced, take-charge janitor to join our IPG Photonics team. This is for 1st shift, hours 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with possible overtime on the weekend. You must be someone who enjoys cleaning and takes pride in performing your job duties to meet IPG excellence and safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
  • Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
  • Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
  • Empty trash and recycling bins
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
  • Clean and maintain restrooms
  • Washing and clean windows and mirrors
  • Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
  • Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment
  • Dust furniture and fixtures
  • Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Willingness to learn chemical safety and proper use of flooring machines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision during the shift
  • Team oriented and eagerness to support other team members when needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking, bending, kneeing, squatting, etc. for at least 8 hours (some overtime)
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of various cleaning products and when to use them
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners
  • Ability to lift and move at least 40 pounds
  • Good organization skills
