About the OrganizationDescription Concord Engineering Group is seeking an Electrical Associate Engineer for our Voorhees office to work in our Commercial/Hospitality Department. The Associate Engineer is an entry-level position where you will work with seasoned engineers, to provide engineering design support to our clients in the Commercial/Hospitality arena.If you are looking to start your engineering career with a growing company, enjoy a fast-paced environment where you will work on a multitude of projects, and want to learn and grow with a Company, this is the perfect opportunity for you.The responsibilities of this position include: Perform engineering calculations, prepare single line diagrams, sizing of electrical components and equipment, conduct short circuit analysis where required, and prepare technical specifications Perform engineering calculations, preparing single line diagrams, sizing of electrical components and equipment, conduct short circuit analysis where required and prepare technical specifications. Review projects regularly to ensure departmental standards and requirements are consistent with client requirements and the project budget. Perform design, layout, and checking of electrical systems drawings and ensure the technical correctness of the drawings by using the applicable job, federal, state, and local standards and codes. Perform site surveys, energy audits, attend project meetings, and provide field construction support, as required. Position Requirements Desired skills and experience: BS in Engineering (preferably Electrical) Entry Level Position Working knowledge and utilization of Autocad, Revit experience is a plus. Working knowledge of local, state and national code requirements a plus. Experience/working knowledge of lighting and electrical load analysis software plus. Must be a good time manager, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions. Effective at working with other staff members in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and have strong technical writing skills and technical documentation skills with the ability to prepare presentations and reports. Working toward EIT.
