Patient Service Rep

The Patient Service Representative will facilitate all components of the patients' entrance in to any Mercy facility. This may include scheduling, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification and financial clearance including pre-visit collection. The Patient Service Representative will be responsible for ensuring that the most accurate patient data is obtained and populated in to the patient record. This co-worker must have an exceptional attention to detail and maintain knowledge and competence with insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines as well as federal, state and accreditation agencies and serves as a mentor to fellow Patient Access co-workers.Qualifications:Patient Service RepresentativeEducation: High school diploma or equivalentExperience Preferred: One year of applicable medical office experienceAdvanced Patient Service RepresentativeEducation: High school diploma or equivalentCurrent Patient Service Reps who are moving to Advanced title on the career ladder must complete both Patient Service Rep and Advanced PR competencies prior to being promoted.Key Benefits: Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 for continuing education Health/Dental/Vision available after day one Annual contribution of $100 per month to eligible co-workers enrolled in the Dependent Care FSA Paid parental leave for new parents 401k with employer match Paid PTO for volunteering Competitive salary Future career growth
