Senior Accountant - Alpharetta

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting

Prepare/upload journal entries

Reconcile balance sheet accounts

Monthly detailed variance analysis

Fixed Asset accounting

Team leader, cross train and backup other accounting staff

Assist Accounting Manager with month-end close/journal entry review

External audit support

Annual Census Bureau reporting

Adhoc projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications:

7+ years experience in related position

Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables

Microsoft Access skills a plus

Experience and understanding of accounting and ERP systems, Infor (Lawson) 10 preferred

Experience with Sage FAS or similar Fixed Asset system

Large company, high transaction volume experience

Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment

Observant and detail oriented

Self directed and highly responsive

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Able to work well with teams and coordinate projects

Willing to work obligatory overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays if necessary. There will be overtime during monthly close and during the annual audit.

Education:

Bachelors degree in accounting related field

CPA or CPA candidate preferred
