**Responsibilities**

Responsible for the financial and operational success of all physicians and medical practices in the assigned geographic, specialty or other defined group. Ensures the direction and implementation of operating policies and initiatives within the assigned group and is accountable to the Vice President for the Medical Group Management. Actively participates in joint hospital ventures and assists practice managers to develop Site-Specific Action Plans, budgets and tactics for assigned practices. They also supervises practice managers, including coaching, guiding and assisting them in managing the operations of their assigned office locations. Will spend designated time in the assigned regional practice location supporting the work of the practice and the practice manager to ensure the success of each practice. Responsible for the writing, implementation and management of the referral process for the Medical Group.

Oversees operations and service delivery of all practice sites within assigned region

Writing and implementation of the referral process that we currently follow in the other markets.

Works with clinics to interview and hire managers and coordinators. Directly supervises and establishes

accountabilities, provides performance feedback and conducts annual performance evaluations for

managers, with input for relevant support staff. Provides counsel to managers in disciplinary matters with assistance from HR for disciplinary actions and/or terminations

Ensures success of physician and mid-level providers in the assigned practices. Collaborates with

physicians to support their ability to establish a successful practice

Ensures implementation of policies, procedures and initiatives adopted by the Network Operations Council and Practice Operations Council

Reviews operational and financial performance monthly with managers to develop Site-Specific Action Plan. Works with manager to ensure compliance with performance standards

Coordinates revenue cycle initiatives for implementation in all practices. Reviews point-of-service collections weekly and accounts receivable management monthly with practice manager

Participates in annual budget development for assigned practices, and holds the practice manager

accountable for adherence to budget and performance objectives

Maintains weekly communication with AVP to review operational issues, performance targets and other

projects defined by the VP and Board of Directors

Attends weekly operational leadership meetings and problem solves jointly with MGM leadership

Participates in the onboarding and recruiting of new physicians and practices

In conjunction with Revenue Integrity Manager, meets with meets with Physicians regarding financial success of practice and delivers monthly revenue cycle performance

Manages marketing strategies for region and works with practice liaison for success

Develops and revises clinical and revenue cycle policies to ensure compliance

Completes other projects as assigned

**Qualifications**

**_Education and Licensure_**

Four Year Degree

Bachelors in business, healthcare or related discipline is required.

**_Minimum Experience_**

At least three (3) years of recent demonstrated leadership experience managing complex multi-specialty groups

**_Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities_**

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries or complaints from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, Internet navigation, database management, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, and graphic presentation packages.

Working knowledge of medical office concepts, practices, policies, procedures, standards, systems and applicable tools.

Ability to supervise staff, monitor and prioritize work flow, and provide effective training and guidance.

Effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills

Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite applications such as Word and Excel.

Working knowledge of essential functions for the jobs that are supervised.

Working knowledge of interviewing techniques and a good working relationship with Human Resources.

Broad knowledge of physician practices and experience in physician practice management.

An exceptional track record of developing and implementing business strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.

A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven team-oriented environment.

Possesses a track record of developing strong rapport with physicians.

Intimate knowledge of the day-to-day operations of physician practices. Financial and analytical expertise in budget development, physician practice productivity, productivity standards, revenue cycle management, physician relations, scheduling and referral tracking management and all other aspects relating to the management of a dynamic and growing practice.

A demonstrated record of accomplishment in areas such as fiscal management/cost control; marketing and practice development; strategic planning and human resource management.

Significant skill in communicating with and relating to physicians, including the ability to establish productive and cohesive partnership with physicians.

Proven ability to formulate and carry out operational plans for physician practices.

Knowledge of legal issues related to physician practices, employment law and fraud/abuse rules.

Knowledge of project planning and ability to coordinate various projects and activities concurrently (multitasking/prioritizing).

Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and apply strong leadership skills in problem solving effectively.

**Pay Range**
