If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you The Child and Family Guidance Center is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to play a crucial role in supporting patients, parents, and caregivers throughout their treatment process. As a Peer Support Specialist, you’ll provide invaluable support and engagement services. From conducting support groups to offering one-on-one guidance, you will serve as a bridge between individuals and the resources they need for their recovery journey. Join our team and be part of something truly meaningful We’ll reward your dedication with a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: $17/hr Health, Dental, Vision insurance PTO Term Life & AD&D Voluntary workplace benefits EAP HSA STD/LTD LifeLock Legal Shield 401K (2.5% matching) Phone stipend Mileage reimbursement Laptop & hotspot What you will do Provide personalized support and engagement services to individuals and families, including conducting support groups and offering one-on-one guidance Serve as a trusted mentor and advocate, empowering patients to make positive choices and take ownership of their recovery journey Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement comprehensive recovery plans Facilitate access to community resources and informal supports Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and activities What you bring High school diploma or equivalent required; Peer Support Specialist certification preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and/or American Sign Language is a plus Experience navigating the mental health system and substance abuse system Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and with diverse populations Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and internal billing and scheduling system or similar product If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to hear from you At the Child and Family Guidance Center in Plano, TX, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to children and families in need.
