Job Summary

Provide Information Technology (IT) coordination, leadership, and support tothe respective plant team in the pursuit of exceeding internal and external customer expectations;to deliver and support best-in-class, value-added business systems and process, and to maximize costreductions/avoidance opportunities utilizing information technology.

Responsibilities
  • Primary IT support resources for PC/Server, ERP, and shop-floor systems; analyze system issues and provide solutions; escalates system issues to Regional IT Manager or to Global/Regional IT teams
  • Responsible for thedaily operation of computer systems including system administration, security, process adherence and documentation equipment installation and system backup; installation and maintenance of equipment,application and o/s upgrades, patches, and new releases
  • Develop the Plant ITOperating Plan; provide input into the Plant Profit Plan regarding IT expense and capital requirements
  • Achieve Plant and designated Regional IT operating goals and key performance metrics
  • Consult with Regional IT leadership teams to review project plans and to obtain project approval and funding
  • Provide key plant IT contact for internal and external YFAI customers
  • Ensure company IT activities are communicatedin a timely fashion to the plant leaders and both local and regional IT staff
  • Serve as the key Plant IT representative on new program teams: responsible for the creation of IT Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) and subsequent approval for funding
  • Review all plant IT related CARs and expenses
  • Act as project manager for IT initiatives within the facility.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to strategic YFAI IT initiatives, standard technologies, policies, security, and Business Operating System (BOS) processes through the plant.
  • Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and preventing injuries using, but not limited to, 5S, job rotation, and ergonomic work practices; safety auditing, tracking of audit closure, participating in incident reviews along with writing or assisting in the 8D process and aiding in corrective action closure; communication of safetyinformation as necessary and participation in safety meetings and activities is also required
  • Consult with plant leadership team regarding IT related education and training requirements for Plant Personnel.
  • Leverage IT economies of scale across the plant, delivers IT best practices, and aggressively drives out cost.
Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Level Degree. Area of Study: Computer Science, or similar
Work Experience
  • 2-5+ Years of Experience with It or related experience.
  • 1-3+ Years of Experience within the automotive industry
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • 2+ Years of experience in supporting Local Area Networks (LANS) and associated equipment.
  • Outstanding PC/Server hardware and software experience including Microsoft Office, windows operating system
  • Solid leadership and project management experience in successfully leadingsimultaneous IT projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and team developmentskills.
  • Customer support experience coupled with hardware, software, and network support.
  • Experience in supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and EnterpriseResource Planning (ERP) systems.
