As an Independent Licensed Therapist, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients in an in-person, office-based environment. This position is within our Refresh Mental Health (RMH) organization, which provides a variety of behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs. We seek a full-time and part-time Independent Licensed Therapist for our Plantsville, CT location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
  • Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods
  • Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications

Required Qualifications:
  • Obtains an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT for practice in Connecticut
  • 1+ years of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting
  • Experience with health psychology
  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Experience with family counseling
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations
  • Proven ability to work with patients in person and telehealth
  • Hybrid role in Thomaston, CT (2-3 days remote and office based)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clear and active LCSW, LMFT or LPC licensed in Connecticut
  • 2+ years of clinical experience treating patients with behavioral health conditions
  • Hospital based experience
  • Proven solid grasp of technology solutions and tools and ability to adapt
  • Proven solid computer and basic technology skills are needed
  • Proven evidence of working effectively and collaboratively with colleagues
  • Proven to be self-motivated, ambitious, and able to quickly build rapport with clients
  • Proven ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patient and other members of the care team

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
