JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Interventional Cardiology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Williamsport, PA • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: 10/01/2025 Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: 8a 5p • On-Call Shift Schedule: 5p 8a and Weekends • Call Type: In-House • Call Ratio: 1:1 • Call Response Time: 30 minutes COVERAGE DATES • 7 shifts per month, starting October 1, 2025 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults only • Patient Volume/Census: STEMI patients only admitted • Admissions: Average 2 admissions while on call • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: Interventional Cardiology (Cath lab, STEMI) FACILITY INFORMATION • Trauma Level: Level II • EMR System: Epic and Cerner • Specialty Backup Available: APP/Nurse Practitioner support during daylight and weekends • Support Staff Available: APPs, NPs • Reason for Coverage: Turnover Vacancy PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (Full Privileges) • Temporary Privileges Available: Not specified • Credentialing Timeline: 30 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered • Travel Notes: • Economy airfare with 1 checked bag • Lodging capped at $150/night for non-preferred hotels (no incidentals) • Mileage reimbursed per IRS rates • Rental car: Mid-size ($50/day) or 4WD SUV ($75/day in winter) REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Outpatient and inpatient catheterizations • STEMI coverage JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active PA license highly preferred • Board: Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology • DEA: Required • Certifications: ACLS • Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty • Other Qualifications: Must hold MD or DO credentials DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide call coverage starting at 0800 • Perform outpatient and inpatient catheterizations • Handle STEMI cases and coverage • Coordinate with APPs and NPs for patient care • Participate in weekend rounding and discharges for IC/NIC/EP patients
