Benefits Analyst

in 401 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60611 USA. Your mission will be to: * Must have experience managing leave of absences Administer all company benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leaves of absence, disability and voluntary benefits. Serve as a liaison between Merieux NutriSciences and third party benefits administrators and carriers in supporting Merieux’s benefits programs including problem resolution, plan eligibility and compliance requirements. Assist with the annual enrollment process. Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide carriers with accurate eligibility information. Perform ongoing audits of benefits related data. Assist managers and employees regarding benefit plan questions, claim issues, enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries. Draft, distribute and/or update all benefits materials, communications and plan documents. Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Process carrier invoices. Perform other job duties and projects as assigned. YOUR PROFILE Required: Associates degree in HR or related field of study, but experience and/or training/certification may be substituted for education. Two years experience in HR and/or benefits administration. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field of study. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification. Required skills: Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven organizational and time management skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google’s G Suite or similar software. WHY JOIN US?
