Senior BSA Officer Summary

Provide support to the BSA AML Department through performance of tasks as directed by the Senior BSA AML Officer including, but not limited to, research and clearing of alerts, research and presentation of cases, monitoring of processes, validation and compilation of statistics for various reporting initiatives. High School Diploma and minimum 3 years of banking experience. College degree/ experience in fields of business or criminology preferred. Ability to interact professionally with all levels of Bank staff, customer base and outside vendors. General understanding of BSA AML, USA PATRIOT Act and regulatory requirements. Ability to work on multiple tasks, handle fast paced workflows and meet deadlines. Ability to understand and use Bank provided technology to meet job requirements. Prior experience in an BSA AML and OFAC regulatory requirements is preferred. Primary Activities

Maintains a current, thorough understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, BSA AML industry best practices and developing trends. Adherence to BSA AML Department Policy, Program, procedures, laws and regulations. Investigates suspicious activity alerts, investigates cases and prepares suspicious activity and currency transaction reports for filing. Proficient in data-collection, research and analysis of BSA AML issues. Can effectively present evidence to the Senior BSA Officer, BSA Team and BSA Committee that supports his/her suspicious activity decisioning. Recognizes unresolved BSA AML issues for escalation, mitigation and preventative measures in line with regulatory requirements. Prepare, analyze and interpret monthly, quarterly and yearly BSA AML reports. Preforms detailed investigation and analysis for high risk customers. Above average ability to complete assigned tasks prior to the scheduled deadline with self-responsibility and efficiency and with minimal or no quality errors Possible additional attention required for the preparation of annual BSA cycle of data validation, audit and examinations. Assists as requested in the resolution of issues raised by BSA AML system / data validators, auditors and Bank examiners. Preform other BSA AML duties as requested. Competency/Skill Level
