We're looking for RORO Driver to work for our client.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced RORO Driver (Roll-On/Roll-Off) Driver to join our waste collection and recycling team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting skips within the site and surrounding areas, ensuring timely and safe delivery.

Position: RORO Driver

Department: Waste Collection and Recycling

Location: Newport, Isle of Wight

Reports To: Line Manager

Salary: 14.03 p/h

Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Working Hours: 8am to 5pm

Working Days: Mon to Fri

Experience: RORO driving experience

Please note: This is initially a temporary role with the potential to become permanent. Youll need to work weekends and shifts during unsociable hours. Full details will be revealed at the interview.

Key Responsibilities for RORO Driver :

Transport Skips: Safely transport RORO skips in and around the designated site.

Waste Collection: Collect and transport waste materials to the recycling centre or designated disposal areas.

Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries, and vehicle inspections.

Customer Service: Interact professionally with site personnel and customers, addressing any concerns or queries promptly.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including road safety and environmental policies.

Requirements for RORO Driver job role:

License: Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license, CPC Card and Tacho card.

Experience: Proven experience as a RORO driver or in a similar role within the waste management industry.

Knowledge: Familiarity with waste management procedures and recycling processes.

Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading skips.

Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.

Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and independently
