Please send all resumes and cover letters to Joelle Abi-Habib, Director of Development, at jabi-habib@jesuitcp.orgSummary of Essential Job FunctionsThe Major Gifts Officer at Jesuit Dallas is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of donors and prospective donors in support of Jesuits funding goals and initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Development, the ideal candidate is self-motivated with a proven track record of successful relationship building and securing of philanthropic gifts, or a successful sales record in the for-profit sector. The Major Gifts Officer will also be responsible for implementing and expanding on a comprehensive stewardship program that appropriately and consistently promotes recognition of the Institutions donors.Essential FunctionsCultivate, solicit, steward, and manage a portfolio of 150-200 major gift prospects including alumni, parents, parents of grads, and others in the Jesuit communityDirectly solicit gifts, working with advancement staff, administration, faculty, and volunteers to implement successful solicitation strategies for major gifts, annual appeals, and event sponsorshipsCollaborate with members of the advancement staff during fundraising/community events, gift recognition, reporting, etc., and all activities that support the operational needs of the Advancement OfficeWork with the Vice President of Advancement and Director of Development in maintaining a comprehensive stewardship program that recognizes the generosity of our donors and encourages continued support of the Jesuit mission; collaborate with Finance and the Jesuit Dallas Foundation to match endowment funds with student and faculty recipientsServe on one to two assigned committeesQualificationsBachelors degree required with three or more years of experience in a fundraising or sales environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProven success building and maintaining trusted relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to interact with multiple constituenciesAbility to communicate the philosophy and mission of the School as part of the cultivation processDemonstrated accomplishment in the acquisition of donor gifts and the ability to strategize, formulate, and close giftsAbility to handle multiple tasks in an exciting, fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of Blackbaud Raisers Edge preferredPhysical Requirements and Work EnvironmentMinimal travel and occasional night and weekend work may be requiredWorks in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contactsMay alternatively work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time while also spending a lot of hours walking and/or standingOccasionally lift up to 30 poundsPlease send all resumes and cover letters to Joelle Abi-Habib, Director of Development, at jabi-habib@jesuitcp.org#J-18808-Ljbffr
