job summary:
An EHS Admin in the Beltsville, MD area is needed for a multinational power management company. An EHS Admin (Environmental, Health, and Safety Administrator), will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department in ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

salary: $20.02 - 24.28 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining EHS documentation, including policies, procedures, and records.

  • Coordinate EHS training programs, including scheduling sessions, tracking attendance, and maintaining training records.

  • Support the implementation of safety initiatives and programs to promote a culture of safety within the organization.

  • Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits, documenting findings, and tracking corrective actions.

  • Assist in the development and dissemination of safety communications, including newsletters, posters, and email updates.

  • Respond to employee inquiries and requests related to EHS issues, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for EHS meetings and management reviews.
Skills:

  • Basic understanding of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.

  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with EHS management systems

  • Certification or training in EHS-related topics

  • Experience with EHS software or database management systems.
Experience: 0-1 years of experience in environmental health and safety or a related field.
