Welder

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder to join their team in a high-standard production environment. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and MIG welding various steel parts, ensuring that production goals are met with the highest standards of quality and precision. This role offers the opportunity to work indoors in a temperature-controlled setting, ensuring a comfortable workspace year-round. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG welding on various materials, following required procedures and specifications.
  • Lay out, position, fit, fabricate, and assemble steel components according to fabrication drawings.
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding equipment efficiently and in line with job specifications.
  • Adjust welding settings, valves, and gauges as needed, ensuring safe handling of compressed gases and oxygen cylinders.
  • Operate grinders, overhead cranes, and other machinery to support welding and assembly tasks.
  • Inspect finished work to verify quality compliance with drawings and specifications; address any non-conformance as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to determine dimensions and material needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience.
  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills in welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and communicate instructions effectively.
  • Proficiency in the safe use of electrical tools, power tools, layout tools, and measurement devices.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift/move up to 50 pounds, kneel, and crouch as needed.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on production needs.
Preferred:
  • Additional welding certifications or training.
  • Familiarity with overhead crane and forklift operation.
  • Experience with other welding methods and metal fabrication techniques.
