We are seeking an experienced RMA (Return Material Authorization) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building, testing, and repairing robotic equipment used in semiconductor capital equipment. The RMA Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing robotic systems that have been returned for maintenance, upgrade or defects. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
  • Perform thorough diagnostics on returned robotic systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Utilize specialized testing equipment and software to troubleshoot hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Conduct repairs on robotic components, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
  • Replace defective parts, calibrate systems, and ensure all repairs meet quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on robotic systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute comprehensive testing protocols to verify repairs and ensure systems meet product specifications.
  • Document test results and update maintenance records accurately.
  • When required, communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on repair status and technical support.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to address client concerns and ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with the latest advancements in robotics and semiconductor equipment.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve RMA processes and enhance product reliability.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational abilities and detail oriented proficiencies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building, testing, and repairing robotic systems, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Proven experience with RMA processes and customer support.
  • Preferred but not required and associate's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field. Or industry related experience.
