JOB SUMMARY:

The Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator will report directly to the Environmental, Health and Safety Director. This position is responsible for maintaining a variety of health, safety, and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for teammates. The successful candidate will be a self-starting leader who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with operation, maintenance, and engineering teams.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
Assist EH&S Director with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and code compliance
Assist with recordkeeping and reporting requirements
Help develop controls for identified hazards. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control system, policies, and procedures. Recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace incidents
Plan and implement safety training for new teammate orientation and annual required programs
Conduct and coordinate on-site checks to audit conditions and program sustainability
Assist with monitoring and implement ongoing updates in environmental/safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements
Coordinate return to work physical demand analysis assessments
Purchasing of safety supplies and products

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
B.S./B.A. degree with 1 - 3 years related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong planning, organizational and follow up skills
Excellent people and process management skills
