Theyre seeking a Life & Annuity Operations Specialist to join their growing team in Ames, IA. This position is focused on the administrative and operational side of insuranceensuring efficient processing, accurate tracking, and excellent service throughout the policy lifecycle. If youre detail-oriented, process-driven, and enjoy supporting a collaborative team environment, this is an excellent opportunity to build your career in the financial services and insurance space. What Youll Be Doing Manage and track all stages of the insurance process from application to policy delivery. Schedule medical exams and coordinate with clients, underwriters, and carriers. Prepare and submit applications, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up with underwriters. Oversee the underwriting process and maintain consistent communication with all parties. Collect outstanding reporting documents and maintain complete, organized records. Oversee policy delivery and ensure proper documentation and client satisfaction. Create and review insurance illustrations as part of the proposal and presentation process. Support the team in administrative and operational workflows as needed. What Theyre Looking For 2+ years of insurance or financial operations experience. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional and articulate. Highly organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a service-minded approach when working with clients and team members. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or insurance processing systems a plus.
