Full Stack Developer

to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences located in

Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Node.js and Angular.

Work on both client-side and server-side components to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end functionalities and ensure smooth data flow between the server and client.

Design, implement, and manage databases, ensuring efficient and optimized queries for data retrieval and storage.

Implement responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and Angular to deliver a seamless user experience across multiple devices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and other developers, to translate business requirements into high-quality software solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.

Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other issues in a timely manner.

Conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.

Implement security best practices and protocols to safeguard web applications against potential threats.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on Node.js and Angular.

Proficiency in Node.js, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

Knowledge of database systems such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

Strong proficiency in using version control systems, especially Git.

Familiarity with build tools and package managers.

Experience with testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Mocha, or Jest.

Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) practices.

Understanding of deployment processes and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.

Ability to adapt to new technologies and industry trends.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive team culture.
