Role Summary

Role: Senior Harness Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Harness Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Harness Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical harness systems for our electric trailers. You will lead harness design activities, ensure regulatory and standard compliance, optimize

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineering teams throughout the harness development process
  • Lead the design and development of complex electrical vehicle harness systems into production
  • Evaluate components connectors, and materials for use in harness assemblies
  • Manage all component ICD for our vehicle and supplier components
  • Establish internal requirements for harnesses for our electric travel trailers
  • Establish and ensure quality standards and procedures for harness design and manufacturing with our suppliers and subcontractors
  • Define, review, and Sign-Off all end of line test reports and results related to harness manufacturing
  • Ensure international and/or regulatory compliance for harness and harness material put into our vehicles
  • Develop electrical wire harness diagrams for Pebble's service manuals
  • Optimize the harness for cost and weight
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in automotive harness design
  • Experience with communication network architecture and routing
  • Experience in fuse definition for automotive power distribution
  • Experience in designing a vehicle harness for manufacturability and serviceability
  • Deep understanding of High Voltage Harness Requirements
  • Understanding of international and regulatory requirements around electric vehicle wiring harnesses
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA for harness design and layout
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principals, wire harnesses, connectors, and cable assemblies
