Primary Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for the implementation of Armor Metal's Safety Program.

Responsibilities include:

Implementing new safety procedures and policies

Collecting, updating and preparation of safety data (i.e. OSHA 300 Log, MDSD library, etc)

Developing charts/graphs on safety metrics from collected data

Maintaining safety regulatory registrations, certifications, listings and related correspondence

Developing and maintaining training matrices for safety related training

Developing and publishing safety training modules, classes, and coordinating outside safety training

Directing the activities of the Safety Committee

Investigating and tracking of accidents and near misses

Coordinating the company's DOT program

Organize and distribute plant-wide safety communications

Participate in machinery and plant hazard assessment

Manage the company's PPE and First Aid supplies

Performing weekly safety and bi-weekly 6S inspections

Driving continuous improvement of the company's safety program

Additional items as assigned by manager

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
