Position Overview: As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll play a key role in analyzing complex datasets, uncovering actionable insights, and providing strategic recommendations to stakeholders. You'll leverage your expertise in data analysis, statistical techniques, and data visualization to drive business impact and inform decision-making. If you're a seasoned data analyst with a passion for turning data into actionable insights and a proven track record of delivering impactful analyses, we want you on our team.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights and identify trends, patterns, and correlations using statistical analysis techniques.
- Data Visualization: Create visually compelling and interactive dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Statistical Modeling: Develop and apply statistical models and algorithms to solve business problems, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series forecasting.
- Predictive Analytics: Build predictive models and forecasts to support decision-making and drive business outcomes, leveraging machine learning techniques and algorithms.
- Data Exploration: Explore and clean datasets to ensure data quality and integrity, identifying and addressing data anomalies, inconsistencies, and missing values.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement tracking and monitoring mechanisms to assess the performance and impact of data analysis initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Business Insights: Provide strategic recommendations and actionable insights to stakeholders based on data analysis findings, supporting decision-making and driving business growth.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers, to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions that meet business needs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document analysis methodologies, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise reports, ensuring transparency and reproducibility of results.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior data analysts, sharing expertise and best practices in data analysis, and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on statistical analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib, and proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong statistical analysis skills, with experience in hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time series forecasting.
- Experience with predictive modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms, with proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Competitive salary: The industry standard salary for Senior Data Analysts typically ranges from $140,000 to $190,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
