Region Controller - South

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Region Controller to join our team

The Region Controller will be accountable for the integrity and accuracy of a LG&E Region's financial statements, including month-end close, variance analysis and forecasting. The Region Controller will support the LG&E Region's financial & accounting requirements and provide guidance and advice regarding overall financial policies and regulations.

What you will be doing:
  • Work closely with LG&E, Shared Services, and Corporate functions to ensure business unit compliance and oversee the integration of finance and accounting discipline into the LG&E Region
  • Liaise with shared services in Ankeny, IA to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for various transaction within the region
  • Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, contract analysis, six sigma/productivity validation and cost center management
  • Partner with the LG&E Region's Vice President and LG&E functional staff to identify business and financial risks, prepare and execute region budget and strategy, analyze financial variances to initiate appropriate action, monitor and manage key business drivers of financial results, appropriately communicate business trends and results to senior staff
  • Provides economic analyses, studies and counsels on all matters of potentially significant financial impact to the business unit, including economic/competitive trends, pricing, cash flow, product line evaluation, capital expenditure analysis and new investment considerations.
  • Must also be able to manage large data sets for financial analysis and must demonstrate the pro-active desire/ability to bring process improvement to the role.
  • Must have experience working with multiple locations (plant operations background would be beneficial), ensuring the standard costs and inventory for the region is properly maintained.
  • Additional experience integrating the assets and operations of acquisitions is highly preferable
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years Finance experience required
  • Travel as necessary (up to 25%)
