PCS Brentwood has an opening for a Lead Mental Health Practitioner. The shifts are days, afternoons and every other weekend.

Starting wage is $26 per hour.

Job Summary:

To provide respectful support and assistance to recipients in their homes and communities; to help maximize the self-help skills of recipients in the areas of daily living, coping, boundaries, education, employment, housing, benefits, medication monitoring, and mental and physical health.

Job Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age or as dictated by certification requirements
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be qualified in one of the following ways:
    1. Obtained a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and:
    2. 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services in the treatment of mental illness or children with emotional disturbances; or
    3. Is fluent in the non-English language of ethnic group to which at least 50% of the practitioner's clients belong, completes 40 hours of training in the delivery of services to persons with mental illness or children with emotional disturbances, and reviewed clinical supervision from a mental health professional at least once a week until the requirement of 2,000 hours of supervised experience is met;
    4. Completed 6,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services in the treatment of mental illness;
    5. Enrolled as a graduate student in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields formally assigned of the center for clinical training by an accredited college of university; or
    6. Obtained a master's or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university
