SAP Solution Architect

Duties/Responsibilities:
•Provide support for existing engineering programs and transactions within a highly customized SAP ERP environment.
•Work closely with engineering to understand current processes and define future requirements.
•Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and work closely with IT to design and implement SAP and non-SAP solutions to fulfill business needs.
•Serve as project manager on small - medium sized new automation projects.
•Work with Business Process Owners (BPO) for other functional areas of the core team to ensure seamless transition of data across all areas of the business.
•Lead the development of training documentation for engineering processes and applications.
•Support day-to-day engineering activities by providing assistance with mass loads & updates, troubleshooting errors, etc.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Management / Technology, or related field (computer science, information science, software engineering, etc.) AND 10 years of experience OR Master's degree in the same AND 8 years of experience.
*A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
*A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
•5+ years direct experience with SAP.
•Strong understanding of SAP ABAP desired.
•Strong understanding of project management methodologies desired.
•Prior experience with computer programming; C#, VB.net, VBA preferred.
•Demonstrated experience leading small to medium sized projects with minimal supervision.
•Experience with the integration of 3rd party software solutions within SAP.
•Experience with SAP Engineering Control Center is considered a plus.
•Highly collaborative, results oriented, self-starter.
•Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
•Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit with passion for ideas.
•Fluent in spoken and written English.
•Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US.
