Job Functions:

Job Summary
This position is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing products and shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Maintain stockroom inventory. Load/unload trucks. This position requires a good understanding of material handling function of picking, cycle counting, forklift operations, shipping and receiving functions in the warehouse.
Job Functions (Essential)
  1. Prepare and supply material to assembly lines in accordance to company requirements.
  2. Compare/identify information and counts on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  3. Verify information against bills of lading, packing slips, invoices or other records.
  4. Problem solving, resolve minor issues independently and lead or participate in continuous improvement actions.
  5. Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments. Report defective materials to the proper personnel. Post information into computer system.
  6. Help to resolve difficult issues and work independently
  7. Move material between storage locations and including shipping and receiving docks.
  8. Utilize radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment as required to complete material moves, ship completed product, conduct inventory cycle counts, and trigger material replenishment to the assembly line.
  9. Utilize enhanced skills to align components for assembly using appropriate equipment.
  10. Responsible for following ERP procedures.
  11. Responsible for following the procedures in the company's quality system.
  12. Maintain inventory stock levels and report if issues with inventory stock levels.
  13. Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures.
  14. Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct

  4. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee may also be exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.

Equipment:
1. Computer, software, calculator, scanners common office equipment and 2-way radio.
2. Air guns, torque equipment, special tools, wrenches etc.
3. Material handling equipment; including fork trucks (electric, propane & diesel), tuggers, scissor lifts, flatbeds, shipping trailers, dock levelers, scales, reach trucks, electric hoists, etc.

Qualifications:

Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Required:
  1. 3 years experience in shipping and receiving or material handling
  2. Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane and other various equipment
  3. Ability to multi-task while working with time sensitive processes
  4. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with other employees
  5. Good oral and written communication skills
  6. Good reading, writing and math skills
  7. Good PC knowledge and the ability to efficiently operate computer terminals and RF scanning devices
  8. Ability to obtain appropriate power vehicle license (CDL, Flatbed, Hi-Lo, tugger & Mule) when necessary
Preferred:
  1. High School Diploma or GED
