Contract Duration: 6+ Months **Required Skills & Experience** + Bachelor’s/University degree. + 5+ years of experience as a Mid-Level to Senior Java Developer including Core Java, Collections + 3+ years of hands-on coding experience to support the development of enterprise applications and design and implement microservices architectures. + Multi-threading as core skillset with knowledge of databases and design patterns. + Hands-on experience on UNIX. + Develop and maintain end-user-focused, object-oriented, data-driven analytic home-grown applications. + Develop new code, modify existing application code, conduct unit, and system testing, and engage in rigorous documentation of developed and delivered application use cases, data flows, and functional operations. + Expertise in Java and Object-Oriented Design and development principles. + Experience working or leading requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects at one-time. + Proficient using basic technical tools and systems. + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, driving projects/issues to closure. **Desired Skills & Experience** + Java related certification. + Experience with JIRA/SharePoint Usage/Confluence. **What You Will Be Doing** + Provide technical and business support for users of the company’s applications. This includes providing quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed. + Maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. + Manage, maintain, and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations. + Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover. + Perform same day risk reconciliations. + Develop and maintain technical support documentation. + Identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used. + Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner. + Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly. + Formulate and define scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution. + Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure availability to users. + Partner with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements. + Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production. + Engage in post implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality. + Consider implications of the application of technology to the current environment.
