ROLE SUMMARY This role will lead enterprise?level initiatives in core, digital, and payment technology transformation, vendor evaluation, and system integration supporting deposit and treasury modernization. It will work directly with Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Operations, and other corporate lines of business to provide project management, system/application support, design, testing, drafting procedures, and implementation primarily supporting payments, treasury management, and deposit growth. The role will support the Banks sponsor?bank relationships, acting as a liaison between internal teams, fintech partners, and regulators to ensure compliant integration, monitoring, and scalability of third?party relationships. It will also influence and lead business units to drive effective short? and long?term solutions for the Bank. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with IT Strategy and PMO to execute digital?core transformation, interface analysis, and data?migration projects. Act as product and system SME for core, digital banking, and payment platforms (ACH, wires, RDC, Zelle, APIs). Manage vendor relationships and third?party integrations across FIS and similar environments. Develop technical documentation for architecture, mapping, and data flows across applications. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, and production readiness for new payment and deposit initiatives. Support process?re?engineering and automation initiatives using tools such as UiPath or equivalent. Assess current practices and workflows within the Banking Operations department to identify and close any process gaps leading to enhanced risk management and overall department efficiency. Create and maintain clear process maps and workflow documentation (Visio, LucidChart, etc.) to align business, operations, and technology teams around consistent frictionless client delivery. Lead technical writing and documentation of the Banks processes and procedures to ensure consistency, audit readiness, and team training alignment. Facilitate short?term process improvement efforts or small?scale initiatives within the Operations department and facilitate internal workgroup meetings. Analyze, interpret, and recommend through formal proposals to bank management on new and effective ways to utilize and improve systems and processes. Gather business requirements, functional requirements, and improvement ideas for existing or new systems and processes. Identify automation opportunities that will enhance efficiency and/or effectiveness. Coordinate onboarding, due diligence and oversight for the fintech or program manager partners operating under the banks charter. Maintain documentation of API interfaces and reporting obligations for sponsor bank programs. Contribute to the design of scalable sponsor bank infrastructure, including workflow automation and interface governance. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in banking operations, digital/core conversions, or payment?system transformation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Deep knowledge of core conversions, digital banking integration, data mapping, and API/SSO frameworks. Proficiency with project management suites (Jira, Confluence, MS Project) and reporting tools (Cognos, Power BI). Experience collaborating across Treasury, Deposit Ops, IT, and PMO functions. Strong vendor?management and audit liaison capabilities. Gather and draft business requirements, functional requirements, and improvement ideas as needed. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project) and SQL. Experience in data collection, system analysis, business process analysis, and documentation. Support multiple large to medium?size initiatives simultaneously. Project management, planning, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing concise, senior?management ready reports. Comfortable with rapid pace and ambiguity. Ability to work independently and with cross?functional teams. Draft new procedures, policies, and training materials.
