Distribution Intern
The management internship is a 12-week on the job training and learning experience that will teach the Intern about the daily responsibilities and activities of our managers. Interns will spend their first 6 weeks gaining an understanding about what tasks need to be completed, how to complete them, why we have them and how to prioritize them. They will work directly with a supervisor of that department to develop their understanding and skills in this initial training period. They will go through an evaluation with the Department Manager at this time. From weeks 7 through 11, the Management Intern will be responsible for "managing" a particular section of the department they have been working in. This includes inventory control, scheduling, guest service, team member complaints, to do lists, etc. They will go through a 2nd evaluation at this time. Each building will have a separate 12-week plan that will account for their departments in particular. During their final week, the Department Manager will give the Intern an in-depth tour of all departments to gain an overview of the entire DC. There will be 6 projects throughout the Internship for the Intern to complete.
