**Description**
*Position at MacAllister Rentals*
**Objective**
Position is responsible for direct management and profit & loss for branches within the Central Indiana area. Assists in establishing goals for all assigned branches and coordinate and oversee broad sales efforts and business initiatives. Maintains and supports health and safety, training and development and OHSA & DOT compliances. Acts as a liaison to Rental Services Manager and Operations Manager to implement policies and strategic initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
* Responsible for improving operations on a daily basis.
* Works with Branch Managers with recruits, hires, training, directing, motivating and providing discipline in all areas of operations, sales, service and support. Setting the pace for the service staff, and working with then service manager in setting mutually agreed yearly goals and working toward achieving them.
* Responsible for overall profitability of their locations, which include those components such as sales, gross margin, payroll, expenses, etc.
* Assisting in establishing financial goals for all assigned branches.
* Coordinating and overseeing district sales efforts and business incentives. Establishing criteria for effective operations.
* Provide branch managers with necessary tools to help them maximize revenues and branch profitability.
* Oversees and is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the physical facilities including shop and office areas and operation and maintenance of the equipment and service trucks.
* Leading the staff to make decisions to improve workplace, company, marketplace and customer satisfaction
* Works with branch sales manager to promote overall growth and profitability
* Other related duties and projects assigned by Rental Services Manager and Operations Manager
* Assures maximization of efficiencies and utilization of the Rental fleet.
* Assists Operations Manager in identifying new business opportunities, expanding market share and overall growth of the Rental business.
* Works closely on a daily basis with management to support, coach and help manage the daily workloads, assure safe work environments and adherence to all safety procedures, computerized documents, customer satisfaction and all matters pertaining to the Rental Services being profitable
**Qualifications**
* Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a Bachelors degree in business or marketing or typical related experience.
* Broad Rental background plus 5 years experience in various phases of the Rental business such as shop floor control, counter sales, external sales etc.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with machines.
* Excellent overall managerial skills in the areas of communication, organization, judgment, team-building, interpersonal skills and problem solving.
* A team player, cooperative, unselfish, thinks of Rental Services as a whole who can work easily and synergistically with other managers. Practices a win-win approach to satisfying both parties involved in any activity.
* Professional in appearance, demeanor, thoroughness, accuracy, polish, integrity, effectiveness. Performs at high standards.
