Summary: The Bartender provides food and beverage services to customers in a friendly, efficient, andprofessional manner and ensures a positive experience for all customers.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Serves customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that "the customer is always right".
  • Checks identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages.
  • Checks identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one else.
  • Serves customers alcohol according to the guidelines of safe serving.
  • Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar, following standard recipes.
  • Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
  • Enters orders accurately into POS, collects money and returns change for drinks/food served.
  • Reports tips accurately for each shift.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
  • Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Maintains a neat and clean bar area on a continual basis.
  • Possess awareness for potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping falling or burns.
  • Arrives for each shift on time and in full uniform.
  • Attends all pre-shift meetings ready to "listen and learn" and share ideas.
  • Avoids leaving work area during peak periods.
  • Takes breaks only when approved by the General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Restaurant Manage.
  • Keeps a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Takes and delivers food orders for customers dining in bar area.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu and wine list, including daily specials.
  • Tends the service bar and may be designated to the Service Bartender on occasion.
  • Makes change for servers.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


Qualification:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least six months related experience.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of beverage order processing systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
Physical and Mental Demands:
  • Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally with customers and other Team Members in fast-paced environment.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Regularly required to stoop or kneel and stand for long periods of time.
  • Regularly required to move with a sense of urgency, including pivoting and shuffling.
