Senior Hardware Engineer

My client is a leading medical technology company focused on revolutionizing healthcare through rapid, accurate, and accessible diagnostic solutions.

They are looking for a Hardware Engineer with expertise in reader system development to join their team. You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of reader systems for their diagnostic platforms.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and optimization of reader systems for diagnostic platforms, with a focus on electrical hardware design and integration. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including assay development, software engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of reader systems into diagnostic instruments. Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and validation testing to evaluate reader system performance and functionality. Provide technical expertise and support to troubleshoot reader system issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in reader system development and infectious disease diagnostics. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all aspects of reader system design and development. Contribute to intellectual property development through invention disclosures and patent applications.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware engineering, with a focus on reader system development or instrumentation. Proven expertise in electrical hardware design, including analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and firmware development. Experience with reader systems in the context of infectious disease diagnostics or related fields preferred. Other Industries will be considered. Proficiency in hardware design tools and software, such as Altium Designer, Cadence, and MATLAB. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to medical device development (e.g., FDA, ISO) is a plus.
