Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including federal and multi-state tax returns for C Corps, S Corps, partnerships, HNW, trusts, estates, and foundations.
Develop and execute strategic tax planning initiatives for clients.
Provide leadership and supervision to the tax team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax returns and related tasks.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate significant updates to clients and team members.
Review complex tax returns and offer guidance and solutions for intricate tax issues.
Coordinate with other departments and professionals to deliver comprehensive client service.
Establish and implement best practices for tax processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager role within a public accounting or professional services firm.
Extensive experience handling complex tax returns, including multi-state filings.
Proficient understanding of tax compliance and strategy for various entities, including C Corps, S Corps, partnerships, HNW, trusts, estates, and foundations.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Exceptional client management abilities with a proven track record of cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in navigating complex tax matters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax information clearly and effectively.
Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Proficiency in tax software and other relevant technology platforms.
