We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our team and oversee the successful execution of residential construction projects from inception to completion.
Position Overview:
As a Project Manager at Prime Design Homes, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of residential construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client specifications. Your strong organizational and leadership skills will be vital in managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with architects/draftsmen, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and ensuring effective communication with clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with the design team to ensure accurate interpretation of architectural plans and specifications.
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Oversee the construction process, monitor progress, and address any issues that may arise.
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
2. Team Leadership and Communication:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of construction professionals, including site supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors.
Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders, ensuring clarity of goals, expectations, and project updates.
Conduct regular meetings, both on-site and off-site, to review progress, resolve challenges, and maintain a positive team dynamic.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
3. Quality Control and Risk Management:
Implement quality control processes to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any construction deficiencies or deviations from plans.
Mitigate project risks by proactively identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans.
Oversee the resolution of any disputes, claims, or conflicts that may arise during construction.
4. Budget and Cost Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with the estimating team to develop accurate cost estimates for new projects.
Analyze and report on project financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the residential home building industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
