Job Summary:

The Financial Aid Business Systems Analyst , reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, assists with the overall administration of the Financial Aid Office pertaining to overseeing all systems processing and reporting aspects of our software models (Ed Connect, COD, SalesForce, NSLDS, PowerFaids, Sonis, Workday), troubleshooting errors and problems. They are the primary contact with our software customer service representatives. Advises and informs the Director of Financial Aid in all technical matters including system upgrades, reports, hardware upgrades and software problems. They are part of the Financial Aid Leadership team by providing staff training and participating in the development, documentation, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations. This position is responsible for the Return to Tite IV calculations. Annual updating of forms is also the responsibility of this position. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • The Financial Aid Business Systems Analyst in the Financial Aid Office oversees all systems processing and reporting aspects of the Financial Aid module, troubleshooting errors and problems, data distribution, electronic file imports/exports, federal/state data reports, ad hoc reports and primary contact with our softwares financial aid customer service representatives.
  • Advises the Director of Financial Aid in all financial aid technical matters including system upgrades, reports, software problems, and hardware upgrades.
  • Provides support to all staff regarding office policies and procedures, including, but not limited to reporting and technology.
  • Acts as a member of the leadership team for financial aid by providing staff training and participating in the development, documentation, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.Maintains expertise in all areas of financial aid to ensure compliance; identifies regulatory changes that will impact the department; participates in off-campus events as assigned by Director.
  • Maintains procedures and reports necessary to complete annual Federal, State, and institutional reporting requirements and prepares report information for review by the Director of Financial Aid.
  • Partners with AHUs Information Technology for technical support on financial aid issues and participates in cross-functional working groups and committees.
  • Assists the Director with the management and content updates to the Colleges net price calculator.
  • Create, update, and maintain proper documentation on standard operating procedures for utilizing financial aid technology solutions.

Qualifications

What Will You Need:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Associates Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, AND
  • Five (5) years working in Financial Aid in Post-Secondary Institution

OR

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, AND
  • Three (3) years working in Financial Aid in Post-Secondary Institution

AND

  • Three (3) years of experience working with Financial Aid software (EdConnect, COD, NDLDS, PowerFaids, Sonis, Workday)
  • One (1) year at least with Powerfaids system and Sonis system desktop support/FA experience.
