LocumJobsOnline is working with Adelphi Locums to find a qualified Family Practice MD in Cheshire, Connecticut, 06410 About The Position JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Cheshire, CT (Practice site in Enfield, CT) Service Setting: Outpatient Primary Care Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: 10/01/2025 10/01/2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 8a 5p (8-hour days with 30-minute lunch) COVERAGE DATES 10/01/2025 10/01/2026 40 hours per week, 1-year commitment PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults only (no pediatrics) Patient Volume/Census: 20 patients per day Phone Consults: Limited to outpatient patient management Case Mix: General primary care for adult population FACILITY INFORMATION Exam Rooms: 2 per clinician Lab/X-Ray: Quest lab and Radiology in building Practice Structure: 3 physicians (1 leaving in December), 3 APPs, 1 new APP starting in September Support Staff: 1 MA per clinician, shared nursing and front desk staff, manager on-site Reason for Coverage: Physician coverage need due to staffing changes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: Fixed (Daily OT after 8 hours; Weekly OT after 168 hours) Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES General primary care procedures as appropriate for adult outpatient medicine JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Connecticut medical license required Board: Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine DEA: Active DEA Certification required Experience: Minimum 2 years of primary care experience preferred Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide outpatient primary care for adult patients Manage a daily panel of 20 patients Collaborate with other physicians and APPs in the practice Utilize 36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours weekly Coordinate care with subspecialists as needed Document care accurately in Epic EMR 1669596EXPPLAT About Adelphi Locums Adelphi Locums, a brand of Adelphi Staffing, provides locum tenens staffing solutions for healthcare facilities across the U.S., connecting them with qualified physicians, advanced practitioners, and other medical professionals for temporary coverage needs.
