The Installation Engineer must be proficient with hands-on equipment assembly and testing. The Installation Engineer will interact with various customer stakeholders and RefleXion resources with the highest level of professionalism and competence.What You Will Be Doing Perform all hardware installation activities in an efficient and effective mannerPerform hardware upgrade and software installation activities as neededContribute to the establishment and improvement of all released installation proceduresMaintain tools and toolboxesProvide on-site coverage and assist Field Service Engineers in service activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve equipment during installations, utilizing additional support, as necessaryCoordinate with customer stakeholders such as project managers, construction contractors, physicists, etc., as well as RefleXion resources to provide a seamless installation experienceAlways ensure customer satisfaction through proactive and responsive communication and actionsRecord detailed installation reports and documentation in a timely mannerProvide feedback for improvement opportunities in the installation process or product to Installation management and EngineeringFollow all RefleXion and customer safety policies and practicesOther duties as assignedWhere You Will Do This Job Hybrid (In the Field / On the Road) - This position requires a regular commute to and from the Company offices in Hayward, CA as well as to customer sites across the US; the successful candidate must be based in the greater SF Bay Area and must be able to commute into the RefleXion office in Hayward 1-4 days a week, depending on the role.What We Need Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree in electrical, mechanical or similar engineering field (recent College Grads encouraged to apply) - OR - Associate's of Science (AS) degree and at least 4 years of hardware installation experience with similar equipment, such as medical LINACs and/or diagnostic equipment (CT or MRI scanners) - OR - commensurate training and relevant experience Proficient in the use of test equipment and hand tools including oscilloscopes, multi-meters and electrical safety testersGood computer and software skills, such as working knowledge of MS Windows and Linux operating systems and control systems networking; ability to learn new software tools quicklyProven ability to diagnose and resolve problems on complex electro-mechanical devices, using highly sophisticated software, at clinical sitesMust be willing and able to travel extensively (up to 60%) throughout the USExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyCritical thinking skills and proactive problem solverSkilled at building strong relationships with customers through effective communication, professionalism and resolution of issuesAble to lift 23kg/50lbs regularly throughout the workdayWork safely in confined areas in the presence of: HVDC up to 100kV; 480V/3?, 100kW AC power distribution; high-energy ionizing radiation; high pressure pneumatics; and heavy rotating machineryAble to climb ladders, kneel, or crouch as required during installation of equipment.Ways To Stand Out Experience in a compliance-oriented and highly regulated environment; FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) preferred.What You Will Love About Working with UsThe opportunity to work with a passionate, driven team in a pre-IPO start-up environmentFlexible work location and schedule available for many positions - see above for specific work location for this positionCompetitive compensation and Pre-IPO stock option packagesMedical (both HMO and PPO options), Dental and VisionHealth Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA)Pre-tax Commuter BenefitsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401(k)3 Weeks/Year PTO Accrual rate to start and 12 Paid Company HolidaysEmployer paid Life Insurance, short-term and long-term disabilityRefleXion Benefit Hub -Company exclusive discounts and deals on a variety of sites and itemsWeekly catered on-site lunches as well as kitchens filled with a variety of healthy and delicious food and drinks - including an espresso machine and panini stationsEmployee Events - Variety of Workshops, Lunch 'n Learns, Financial Wellness education, Regular "Coffee Chats" with Executive Leadership, Scavenger Hunts, Company Milestone celebrations and moreElectric car charging stations on siteThe pay range for this role is $40.00 - $60.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
