LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing client in the non-profit industry who is looking to bring an Accountant onto their team in New York The Accountant willperform financial duties for the company and will be responsible for overseeing payroll duties. This role requires strong communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of accounting principles. Ifyou are looking for a stable, meaningful position, please apply
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare standard and/or recommend journal entries to the General Ledger (revenue, receivables, accrued expenses, etc.) when necessary
- Support the preparation of the annual budget
- Prepare schedules for year end and annual audit
- Reconcile payments between accounting and billing systems
- Enter vendor bills into accounting software system by period
- Pay vendor bills timely based on due dates
Accountant Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in with accounting or finance, preferably within the non-profit industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
- Knows Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of general ledger and payroll processes
