POSITION SUMMARY:

Jr. Estimator will provide and/or coordinate all support services to the estimating team associated with the preparation of bids and proposals.

Bid setup, summary form data entry, and bid scheduling.
Review and incorporate historical data from productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.
Provide take off and technical support to Sr. Estimators preparing larger estimates
Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Heavy Bid maintenance (labor, crew, activity, and bid master codebooks)
Solicit, document, and analyze subcontractor/vendors quotations.
Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
Provide award related submittals
Assist contracting team during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.
Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.

Education and experience requirements include: 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations technical training and/or related experience.
Cost estimating curriculum preferred.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

SOFTWARE SKILLS:

Microsoft Office applications
Scheduling software/CPM (including Primavera and MS Project)
Strong technical and proposal writing skills
OSHA Training
Familiarity with cloud-based software solutions
