Named one of America s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity Recognition by Newsweek Job Description: Must be Board Certified by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital. Reason for Coverage: Short staffed Start Date: ASAP - Credentialing requires up to 90 days before candidate can start. Completion of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program is required.- Board Certified by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Outpatient position Mix of 8-10-12- hour day shifts with opportunity to transition to longer shifts if desired. On call: must be willing to work four days per month or more. Average number of patients/day: Varies Demonstrate a strong potential for excellence in clinical care. Conducts appropriate pre-anesthetic assessments, and document findings. In collaboration with the Anesthesiologist, determines the appropriate anesthetic plan of management, manages all aspects of anesthesia care to include preoperative, perioperative, and immediate postoperative care. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures. Provides airway management and/or intubations for emergent, non-emergent, and resuscitation situations throughout the hospital. Anticipates and exceeds patients and customers expectations that meet all elements of the Henry Ford Experience. Identifies services and care improvement ideas and act on them to create excellent customer experiences.
