Objectives of this Role: Provide engineering support for research projects on fluid dynamics and/or heat transfer systems; topic areas include hydrogen applications, oil and gas, water management, alternative energy, and space applications. Solve complex fluid dynamics and/or heat transfer system challenges using analytical and computational approaches. Lead experimental research projects in a laboratory setting. Develop innovative solutions for commercial and government clients on the world’s challenges in the energy-water nexus. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Design and optimize thermal and fluid systems using computational methods (CFD, Thermal and stress analysis, and others). Conduct experimental laboratory research for fluid dynamics and/or heat transfer systems at a pilot-scale. Use thermofluids engineering principals to analyze experimental datasets to provide customers with easy-to understand solutions. Manage research projects and document findings. Post-process test data; and present reports and technical papers; manage the technical and financial performance of projects. Develop new business through networking, customer engagement, conference attendance, and proposal writing. Requirements: Requires a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering 0-1 years: academic or industry research projects in complex fluid dynamics, heat transfer, or thermodynamics related area Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex information Desire to make a positive impact on the community through developing research aimed at solving some of our most-pertinent problems A valid/clear driver's license is required.
