Job DescriptionParadigm is currently looking for a Material Handler II to work for our client in Beaverton, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have experience providing material support within a dynamic manufacturing environment. A Material Handler II flexes easily between tasks, and seeks to be proficient at all tasks within their assigned functional area. Type: Contract to hireLocation: Beaverton, Oregon, United StatesShift: 5 am - 3:30 pm Monday-ThursdayBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, and sick daysAs a Material Handler II, you will:Delivers material to point of consumption in response to Kanban signalsStores and retrieves parts in warehouse using first-in first-out processAccurately performs inventory transactions and adjustmentsActively participates in daily in Tier 1 Daily Management System (DMS) meetingsContributes to continuous improvement projectsKeeps work area well organized and cleanAssists with performing cycle countsAdditional duties as assigned by SupervisorRequirementsOur experience, and skills, wish list includes: Minimum of 2 years related work experienceMust be able to work from 5:00 am-3:30 pm shiftMust be forklift certified or capable of becoming forklift certifiedTraining in and experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred, but not requiredFamiliarity with computers and Windows-based applicationsAbility to adjust work pace in response to daily production dataMust be able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methodsAble to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMay be required to alternate schedules to meet production goalsAttendance is a critical function of this positionAbility to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. periodicallyStand or sit for long periodsPerform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bendingWork in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levels.Use tools that require fine hand skillsVisually, observe and differentiate small moving partsAbility to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areasBenefitsParadigm offers medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, and sick days.
