Riverview Chevrolet GMC is currently seeking a Parts Counterperson. In this role, you will be responsible for completing the ordering of all parts for our service department and walk up parts customers.

We are looking for experienced individuals for the position of Parts Counterperson at Riverview Chevrolet GMC. Quick and efficient part ordering is necessary to avoid vehicle and technician downtime and to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties also include ensuring that all parts are charged properly to the respective jobs using our electronic dealership management system, fulfilling tech parts requests and monitoring delivery status for outside sales.

Responsibilities

• Ordering all parts needed to fulfill a service repair order.
• Coordinate part order completion with the service and/or sales departments.
• Return of any parts not needed/damaged on an order.
• Communicate with the service advisor or Manager, the timeframe of parts ordered to keep on schedule with the promised delivery time.
• Be familiar with all aspects of automotive mechanical, collision parts, including but not limited to all aspects of electronic ordering platforms such as Collision Link, Parts Trader, CCC or Mitchell. Gm Snap-On parts catalogue.

Qualifications

• Automotive parts knowledge needed, GM parts knowledge a plus.
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug testing
• Applicants must have the ability to work with multiple part suppliers in a fast- paced environment including procuring of Original equipment parts, aftermarket parts, used parts etc. in a timely manner.
