Non CDL Driver/Archives

Job Overview Drives diesel or regular gasoline powered straight or cube truck to perform pickups and deliveries of boxes, files, shred bins and other items as required. Position supports the Archives Team of the Commercial Division of the Company. Receives, stores, retrieves, and distributes records, documents, and other correspondence within a large warehouse/records retention facility. Successful candidate will perform warehouse operations, material handling, storage, and retrieval of boxes from designated locations. Complies with product receipt schedules, maintains material handling and inventory control. Maintains safety standards for the facility and while operating delivery vehicles. Loads/unloads materials and boxes onto and from trucks for delivery, retrieval, and/or storage. Responsibilities Responsible for delivery of sensitive documents from warehouse to customer and from customer to warehouse Daily inspection of truck for defects at the beginning of each shift and reporting on this daily Responsible for maintaining clean, safe, operating condition of assigned vehicles and equipment Responsible for fueling vehicle at the end of each shift to ready for following day At the beginning of each shift responsible for scanning all items to be delivered throughout the course of the day and validating that everything is loaded onto truck At each stop responsible for scanning items being delivered and items being picked up and having customer electronically sign scanner Responsible for following assigned route and communicating to office any deviances; responsible for arriving on time to stops that have time requirements Responsible for communicating back to office in timely fashion any anomalies that may prevent fully completing route Adheres to all safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations in accordance with the Company's Safety Program and initiatives Adherence to drug-free workplace initiatives Manages helper when assigned to ensure efficient and effective service and submitting timesheet for helper at the completion of shift Responsible for accurate and complete transactions on all paperwork; securing signatures and reconciliation of discrepancies Qualifications Active Non-CDL License Good "People Person"; outgoing Must pass a DOT physical 1+ years of experience driving with a commercial license Capable of lifting 75+ lbs Prior delivery experience a plus Fast paced environment Hand held scanner experience helpful Familiarity with the metro DC area a plus About JK Moving sets the standard for relocation and logistics excellence and is the largest independent mover across North America, serving a wide array of clients from military service members to homeowners to global corporations and everything in between.
