Sr. Regional Cost Manager Weir Minerals Onsite at any of the following: * Salt Lake City, UT * St. Louis, MO * Surrey, BC Business Need / Purpose of Role: Under the direction of the Regional Finance Director (RFD), this position plays an integral role in the Finance leadership team within the NAM Region of Weir Minerals. The role will provide Cost Accounting leadership for a team of site-based cost accounting professionals. The Cost Accounting function works with operations finance as well as the general accounting team to drive costing oversight, compliance and supports the analytics for manufacturing finance. This position will contribute to the development and execution of the budget, forecasts, standards cost roll and play an integral part in aligning operation team goals with Region leadership expectations. Key Responsibilities: * Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and ensure consistent application of cost accounting principles across the North America manufacturing sites * Lead the strategic direction of the Cost Accounting Department * Develop new, robust processes to drive productivity in the cost accounting function and drive continuous improvement * Assist in monthly close process for team's cost accounting tasks, including analysis of recoveries, manufacturing variances and the capitalization of variances * Implement consistent KPI/dashboard reporting utilizing PowerBI to measure efficiencies, hours, recoveries * Assist in the development and review of the Company's annual budget and quarterly forecast process. * Assist in internal and external audits of the company's accounts and records as required. * Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero-harm behaviors to support our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance) required. * MBA and/or Masters of Accountancy preferred. * Minimum of 7 years finance and/or accounting/audit experience required. * Minimum of 3-5 years of Public Accounting Experience preferred. Current CPA/CMA license highly preferred. * Must be flexible with work schedule during the monthly financial close, budget and forecast cycles, and have ability to travel as necessary.
