**Position Summary:**

A Territory Sales Manager working for Superior Linen Service is responsible for selling the rental products and services that Superior Linen Service, Inc., offers to small, mid-size, and large prospective accounts to secure a contractual business-to-business relationship. This position is executed employing the industry standard of an outside sales model, working independently most of their time.

**Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities:**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to Superior Linen Services sales performance standards.

**Eighty percent (80%)** of the time and responsibilities in the role as a Territory Sales Manager will be doing the following for New Business Development:

* Handle all aspects of the sales process in the territory including prospecting, qualifying decision-makers, sales presentations, creating proposals for service, securing the account, and follow-up after the sale for referral opportunities.

* Prospect for potential business contacts/decision-makers through a variety of mediums, including in-person cold calling, referral solicitations, telephone prospecting, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, social media connections, Internet websites, newsletters, and other sources.

* Solicit throughout protected assigned territory to call on prospective prospects to solicit business opportunities.

* Present or demonstrate products and services, using samples or catalogs, emphasizing the saleable benefits & features of rental linen services.

* Estimate customer usage requirements, formulate pricing structure, produce pricing proposals for acceptance.

* Execute Linen Service Agreement-related documents, including educating prospects on payment options per company policies.

* Coordinate date(s) of delivery schedules with the service department and communicate in conjunction with customers requirements.

* TSM is responsible for the first installation of products and services to the delivery location.

* Work in conjunction with the service department to complete a smooth transition from sales to service.

* Record, document, and maintain all steps of the sales process with each prospect through the utilization of an in-house CRM system.

**Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:**

To perform, this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each secondary duty.

Approximately **Ten percent (10%)** of time and responsibilities of the role include submitting relevant sales process literature to clerical staff for system file uploads, prepare weekly and monthly reports, completing assignments for weekly sales meetings or training events, presentations, and payroll system. Other documents to be completed as assigned.

Approximately **Ten percent (10%)** of the position as a Territory Sales Manager incurs keeping updated on new products and services, continue personal and professional educational development, along with attending Trade Shows and company-provided training.

**Education, Training, Experience and Licenses Required:**

**Required**

* Territory Sales Managers must have a valid state of residence issued Drivers License, reliable transportation, and maintain personal auto insurance on the vehicle. Proof of insurance coverage is required a minimum of twice per calendar year, or upon request.

* One or two years related experience and/or training with a minimum one year experience with business-to-business contractual sales.

* Professional appearance and demeanor.

* Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.

* Customer service-related experience.

* Telephone marketing, utilizing excellent phone skills and manners.

* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

**Preferred**

* Preferred qualifications include advanced study in area of expertise. For example, a bachelors or advanced degree in Business or a similar field of study.
