The Accountant, Pizza Hut U.S., is responsible for administering accounting and reporting for market G&A and drives impact across the Brand through analysis of trends and forecasts as we continue to place an emphasis on G&A management. Within this role the opportunities are endless as we continue to think critically about the way we work and reimagine our future.
Salary Range Salary Range: $ 62,000 to $ 70,000 annually + bonus eligibility (if applicable). This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Period Responsibilities (50%)
- Analyze G&A activity against prior period, prior year and forecast while ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP and Yum accounting policies.
- Lead preparation of related journal entries, reconciliations and analyses associated with legal/litigation accruals and reserves, severance, relocation, and other above store level accruals.
- Prepare periodic schedules for PH U.S. in HFM including income statement, balance sheet, etc. to ensure timely and accurate submission to YUM External Reporting.
- Prepare and analyze PH U.S. G&A schedules in HFM and related MD&A reporting package pages used by External Reporting to discuss financial results. Gather and review data, prepare reporting schedules, investigate significant changes and review results with others in Control.
- Prepare PH U.S. schedules in HFM and related Controller's Deck pages for key balance sheet captions, including investigating and documenting large fluctuations vs. prior year end.
- Responsible for quarterly accrual process with cost center owners.
- Provide support regarding inquiries and analyses, in addition to general know how building related to margin and G&A.
- Establish repeating and allocating entries and making any required changes throughout the year. This includes obtaining an understanding of entries and supporting documentation.
- Assist with the PH U.S. annual Balance Sheet review process.
- Participate in domestic SOX compliance testing.
- B.S. in Accounting or B.S. in Finance if candidate has accounting experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting or financial analysis, including internships
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience
- Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management and JDE
- Public accounting firm or public company corporate accounting experience
- CPA or active CPA candidate
