**World Class Assisted Living Memory Care Community is presently seeking a Cook to join our Culinary / Dietary team in Brea, CA**

**Shift Details: This is a Part-Time position.**

**This is a dual role as a Cook and Culinary Aide (Dishwasher / Prep work)**

**Summary of Major Functions:**

* Prepares and cooks meals for the Community served.

**Education:**

* High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required.

**Qualifications:**

* Good verbal communication skills in order to facilitate conversations with staff, residents and family members.

* Ability to read and understand menus and recipes, substituting equivalents of equal nutritional value when appropriate.

**Experience:**

* One year food preparation and cooking experience including, but not limited to: grilling, sauting, broiling, frying, and baking is required.

**Other:**

* Ability to read, write and speak English.

* Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds.

* Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimers disease and other dementia-related disease.
