Process Engineer

Description
Tramec Plastics and Composites, located in Wellington, KS, is currently seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer with plastic injection molding experience to join our 2nd or 3rd shift.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
New Tooling: Sampling, process development, participate in tool design reviews and part quoting process.
Support production supervision to meet daily production requirements and review existing processes for optimization.
Develop and maintain process documentation and storage system for process control.
Troubleshoot problematic molds and recommend corrections to meet production objectives.
Research and recommend technologies to improve production cost structures i.e., robotics, inspection automation etc.
Communicate any problems or obstacles to Plant Manager.
Train and evaluate technical staff for production support.
Contribute to and implement divisional short- and long-range strategic planning.
Manage area specific system procedures.
Support a division housekeeping program.
Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety regulations.
Support and adhere to all system procedures.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
2-year Degree/Certification or equivalent experience.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work as a team.
Able to diagnose and resolve injection molding related concerns.
Perform tool change overs.
Must train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks.
