Job Description

Our Oncology and Hematology practiceis looking for an Infusion RN to join their team This is a part-time or full-timeposition. The hours are: Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M., days are flexible.

**This position is eligible for up to a $3,000 recruitment and retention bonus**

Responsibilities:

  • Placement and care of IV sites
  • Obtain blood specimens by peripheral vein and ports
  • Mixing and administration of chemotherapy products; on the job training
  • Administration of injections
  • Patient education of chemotherapy regimens and side effect management.
  • Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate
  • Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
  • Assess vital signs and the reason for each patient visit
  • Triage patient phone calls: collect, analyze and create a well-documented plan of care for the patient based on their present symptoms and expected healthcare outcomes.
  • Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office and provider requirements.

Annual salary range: $32.00 - 45.50

Requirements
  • Valid NYS RN license.
  • Strong IV skills.
  • Previous experience in an RN role.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
  • Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques.
  • Experience working in Oncology is not required
